Below are details of the Committee for 2008/09.
Most recent Previous Past Presidents include Sonia Aste, Dorothea Stuart and Ian Harrison. Dorothea Stuart was the Area Governor for West London 2007/08 and Ian Harrison was also our Area Governor 2006/07. Andrew Klimaytys, a long term member of Riverside Communicators and former President has taken many roles over the years. These include being Division B Governor (responsible for all the clubs in London). He is always on hand to advise the Committee.

 | | GRAY STANDEN, President The President is responsible for the general supervision and operation of Riverside Communicators, chairing meetings and leading the Committee in planning and accomplishing club responsibilities and goals.

 | | BERTIE EKPERIGIN, Vice President - Education The VPE plans successful meetings, ensures that roles are filled and prepares the programme. She also keeps track of the progress of members' speeches.

 | | SUE KENNEDY, Vice President - Membership The VPM plans, organises and implements an on-going marketing effort to maintain and/or increase the Club membership. This involves encouraging guests to join and motivating existing members to stay.

 | | FRANCO VACCARO, Vice President - Public Relations The VPPR develops, implements and administers a programme that maintains a positive image of Toastmasters for all members, guests and the general public. He is responsible for internal and external public relations for the club, with the ultimate goal of attracting the maximum number of guests to meetings.

 | | ANIL RAMCHANDANI, Treasurer The Treasurer keeps track of the Club's finances and pays the bills. He also pays members' dues to Toastmasters' Headquarters via the website.

 | | PAMELA SMITH, Club Secretary The Secretary keeps the club correspondence and files and takes minutes of meetings, making sure that decisions are carried out.

 | | ANDREA BLACKIE, Sergeant at Arms The SaA sets up the room for meetings and keeps the club equipment in order. In addition, she ensures meetings start on time, looks after visiting officials, collects and counts votes and helps with the running of club contests.

 | | SONIA ASTE, Immediate Past President The IPP provides guidance and serves as a resource to club officers and members. She assists in the preparation of the Club Success Plan and promotes the Riverside's efforts to become a Distinguished Club. She attends all Committee meetings and has an active voice in all decisions made.

SUSANNE AGERBAK, Mentoring Coordinator The Mentoring Coordinator is in charge of the mentoring programme at the club, assigning mentors to new and existing members, encouraging other members to become mentors and generally making sure, through the provision of information and encouragement, that the programme is working well for mentees and mentors alike.
NEIL MASON, Leadership Coordinator The Leadership Coordinator motivates members to take up leadership roles over a period of two to three years, keeping track of their progress through the Competent Leadership Manual. |
