Riverside Communicators Win Again!
The West London Area 29 International Speech and Speech Evaluation Contests 2006 was held on 12th April.
Our three contestants Jean Cooper, Jenny Betts and Sonia Aste all gave a great performance.
Our special congratulations go to Sonia Aste who won the Area 29 International Speech Contest with a speech entitled “The Boss and I”: Great delivery including an opening song, fantastic body language and wonderful humour. All in all a spell binding performance. Well done Sonia!
The standards were very high in both contests. Jenny Betts came third in the Area Speech Evaluation Contest and was there challenging for the top slot. She definitely put in a Winning class performance. Well done Jenny!
The next round will be the all London Division B contests on Wednesday 26th April 2006 to be held at York House, Twickenham. More news on this to follow.

Riverside Communicators: International Speech & Evaluation Contest
We all had an absolutely marvellous evening on Wednesday 15th March 2006. Many congratulations to all of you who took up the challenge and took part and to everyone that came to support our contestants.
The winners of the International Competition were outstanding with a very high standard from all competitors:

Well done to Dorothea Stuart who was the Chair for the evening and did a sterling job. Thank you to our Timekeepers, Ballot Counters and everyone that rose to the occasion and took part.
We had lots of visitors from other clubs who acted as judges. The Chief Judge was Simon Porch from Trojans. In addition Divisional Governor Andrew Klimaytys supported the whole meeting.
Going forward we will have the Area Contest at York House on Wednesday 12th April, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. The London-wide Division B Contest will follow on 26th April (further details to follow).

Area 29 Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest - our winners!
We are delighted to confirm that our contestants won both of the Area 29 Contests on 3 October 2005.
Ian C. Harrison won the Area 29 Humorous Speech Contest.
Jean Cooper won the Area 29 Table Topics Contest.
Congratulations to everyone who took part. It was an enjoyable evening with a high standard of speaking.
